What the job needed
A single-storey home with a low roofline, an existing double driveway and two cars to cover. This is the kind of job a flat-pack kit comes closest to suiting, and we told the owners so. A kit didn’t work here because the driveway falls away from the house and they wanted a wider span than a standard kit offers.
What we built
A skillion roof at the lowest pitch that still sheds properly, engineered to the span, with the footings set to the fall of the driveway. The lower roof suited the house better than a gable would have, and cost less.

Approval required and handled as part of the build.
