What we actually do

We design outdoor structures to the house and the block they are going on, engineer them, get them approved, and build them. That sentence sounds unremarkable until you look at how this market usually works.

The common model is a product: a structure that comes in a set of sizes, sold by someone whose job ends at the sale, put up by a crew who were not there when it was quoted, on a block nobody measured properly. It works, right up until the ground slopes, the span is unusual, or something sits close to a boundary — which in Brisbane is most of the time.

We work the other way round. The site comes first, the structure is designed to it, and the people who quote the job are the people who build it.

We build what you want. We don't sell you what's in stock.

Four things worth knowing

  • We are a licensed builder, and we show the number

    QBCC Licence [00000]. In Queensland a licensed builder is required to display that number in their advertising. It is worth noticing who does not — because on a structure attached to your house, the licence is what makes someone accountable for the result.

  • One team, from the measure to the sign-off

    Design, engineering, the council application and the build are all ours. Most outdoor structures in Brisbane pass through three or four sets of hands, and every handover is a place for the job to lose something.

  • We tell you the price

    Four of our services carry a published starting figure, and the rest explain what drives the cost rather than telling you to call. You get a fixed price before you commit and it does not move afterwards.

  • We will talk you out of the upsell

    If the insulated roof is not worth it on your carport, we say so. If a skillion suits your house better than a gable, we say that too. It costs us money in the short run and it is the reason the reviews read the way they do.

Brisbane northside, Brisbane southside and Ipswich and the western corridor — the area our own team travels to and works in every week.

We are based at 27 / 256 Musgrave Road, Coopers Plains. If your address falls outside the area we will tell you, rather than quote a job we cannot service properly.
