Our custom double carports start at $12,000, designed, approved and built. A pitched gable starts at $15,000 and an insulated roof at $17,000. What moves the figure is the roof type, the span, the ground conditions and whether approval is needed.

A kit price covers materials in a fixed size for a flat slab. It doesn't include engineering to your span, footings designed for your ground, a council application or a licensed builder who is accountable for the result. If your site is level, your span is standard and nothing sits near a boundary, a kit may be the right call, and we'll tell you so.

Size, span and roof style affect the price far more than the sheeting does. An insulated panel roof starts at $12,500. We give you a fixed price once we've measured. See what it costs.

No. We come out, measure the space, check the fall of the land and the roofline, and give you a fixed price.

No. The price is fixed before you commit. Deposit is [5–10%], then progress payments as the work goes up, so you never pay for something that hasn't been built.

Usually, yes. It depends on the mean height of the structure, how close it sits to your boundary and whether an overlay applies to your property. Floor area alone doesn't decide it. How council approval works.

It depends on your property. Exemptions turn on mean height, setback and any overlays on your block, so we need your address to answer it. Send it through and we'll tell you which side of the line you're on.

To within 500mm of a boundary with your neighbour's written agreement. Without it, the required setback is larger. It's much easier to talk to your neighbour before the structure is designed than after.

Usually 2–6 weeks. If the job needs a relaxation (a concession on setback or height), allow up to another four weeks.

We do. Drawings, lodgement, dealing with the council and certification at completion are all part of the build.

A patio is a covered area over an existing slab or ground-level surface. A deck is an elevated platform with its own structure, used where the ground falls away or the floor level needs to match the house. Plenty of jobs are both. See steel decks.

A pergola is open, with battens or blades and gaps between them. A patio has a solid roof. A pergola gives you shade, but it won't keep the rain off. See pergolas.

Usually yes, for the heat alone, if the space sits against the house or gets afternoon sun. If it's detached, shaded most of the day or only covers a car, probably not. We'll tell you which one you've got.

Your roofline, gutter height and which way the space faces matter more than taste. Flyover, gable and skillion compared.

Sometimes. A frame built to carry people isn't always strong enough for a roof and the wind load that comes with it. Send us a photo and we'll tell you whether it's a roof job or a rebuild.

Yes. QBCC Licence [00000], and you can check it on the QBCC register. Queensland law requires licensed builders to show that number in their advertising.

Approval takes 2–6 weeks where it's needed, and the build about 2 weeks. Allow up to 10 weeks from order to handover.
