Payment
How paying for it works
Most builders' finance pages say nothing. Here is exactly how the money works on one of our jobs, and where we have not got an answer for you yet.

The payment terms, in full
This is the part we can be completely specific about, and it is more than anyone else in this market publishes.
A fixed price, in writing, first
We measure the space and quote it. That figure is what you pay — it does not move once work starts, and there is no allowance that gets revised later.
A Master Builders contract
Drawn up before anything begins, on standard industry terms rather than something we wrote ourselves.
A [5–10%] deposit
Paid on signing. The check-measure happens on receipt of it, so the drawings match the ground before materials are ordered.
Progressive payments after that
Payments fall due as the work goes up. You are never paying for something that has not been built, and we are never asking you to fund the whole job in advance.
What the figure covers
Design, engineering, the council application, construction and certification. Not a materials price with the difficult parts quoted separately once the job is under way.
The one thing worth checking on any quote you receive — ours included — is whether council approval is inside the number or outside it. On ours it is inside.
What it costs, and what moves the numberThird-party finance
This section is not finished, and we would rather say so than pad it.Sunstate is finalising which finance provider we will offer. Until we can tell you the lender, the rate, the term and what the repayments actually come to on a real job, there is nothing here worth reading — and a page that says “flexible finance options available” with no numbers on it is exactly the kind of thing this website was built to stop doing.

In the meantime: if the timing of payments is the constraint rather than the total, call us. The progressive payment structure above already spreads the cost across the build, and it may be that no third-party finance is needed at all.
Tell us about your place
Send us your address, a photo of the space and a rough idea of what you want covered. We'll come out, measure it and give you a fixed price.
