What the job needed
A newer home where the builder’s alfresco stopped short of the pool. The owners wanted the covered area extended so it looked like part of the house. On a modern render-and-steel house, that mostly comes down to getting the fascia detail and the colour right.
What we built
An insulated roof continuing the existing line, colour-matched, with the posts set clear of the pool coping. We used insulated panel for the heat, and because its flat underside suits the house better than exposed purlins.
Council
Moreton Bay Regional Council. Work next to a pool brings fencing and clearance requirements into the drawings, so we sorted those out before lodging.
